Russo,City Manager <br /> DATE: July 22, 2004 • <br /> V'1 <br /> RE: SAMSON OCEANFRONT PARK LANDSCAPE LIGHTING <br /> IMPROVEMENTS <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution awarding Bid No. 04- <br /> 05-01 Samson Oceanfront Park Landscape Lighting Improvements to Imperial Electrical of Ft. <br /> Lauderdale("Imperial Electric"). <br /> REASONS <br /> The Samson Oceanfront Park is in need of landscape lighting improvements. As such, the City <br /> issued Bid No. 04-05-01 Samson Oceanfront Park Landscape Lighting Improvements. <br /> Specifically, the improvements include up-lighting for the trees, the addition of receptacles for <br /> holiday lighting, and upgrading the electrical service throughout the park to current standards <br /> and codes. The project description involves services related to power, distribution, light fixtures, <br /> conduit,wires,directional bore, and restoration. <br /> Four (4) bid responses were received, and Imperial Electrical has been deemed the most <br /> responsive, responsible bidder. They have submitted a proposal in the amount of Sixty-Six <br /> Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Four Dollars($66,554.00). <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br /> Our Capital Projects Management Consultant, Calvin Giordano & Associates, Inc. has reviewed <br /> the bids and checked for calculation errors.
