Watts, Director <br /> Public Works Department <br /> Date: August 26, 2004 <br /> Re: APPROVAL FOR STAMPED ASPHALT CROSS <br /> WALKS AND PARKING SPACES <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the Commission approve amending the contract of Tenex Enterprises, Inc. <br /> for the asphalt stamping of the parking spaces they just created adjacent to the Margolis Park plus <br /> the completion of those crosswalks remaining along Collins Avenue. The stamping job consists of <br /> approximately 10,500 S.F. at a cost of$14.00 per S.F. for a total of$147,000.00. <br /> REASONS: <br /> This portion of the Tenex work was contemplated prior to their contract. However, at that time, the <br /> total square footage and cost per S.F. was not known. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> The stamping sub-contractor is a sole source and created the other crosswalks on Collins Avenue. <br /> Therefore, all new work will be consistent in both design and color. <br />
