bid. If PC hardware is included in the bid, all specifications for such hardware must
be submitted as part of the vendor's proposal.

Questions submitted

1) Can you break down the door installs for the access control portion in more detail?

. Single doors, door contact only
. Double doors, door contacts only (2 per)
. Single door, bio reader, door contact, TREX, REX
. Single door, two bio readers, door contact
. Double door, bio reader, door contacts, TREX, REX
. Single garage door, two bio readers, door contact

qty. 24
qty.7
qty. 28
qty.1
qty.4
qty.1

2) Page 17725-4 Part 2.2 (A) calls for a day/night camera in all fixed locations. Why would
you need these for interior cameras?

Because they perform better in low light situations (for example at night when the facility is
empty). This requirement shall stand as specified in the original RFP.

3) In researching the product specified, it appears that these products are not certified as
UL listed, and it is doubtful the electrical inspectors will permit mounting and terminating
non-UL labeled devices.

All specified products are UL listed per the manufacturer cut sheets.

4) What type of cabling is the city providing? (coax, UTP, fiber optic etc.)

Various vendors have asked this question despite the fact that we have specifically stated
that wiring will be provided by us. Therefore, the following information is being provided
solely to give vendors an "idea" of what we have in mind, but is subject to change at any
time. We will be providing the following:
. One CatS cable to each camera (dual dome locations shall have 2)
. One RGS9 cable to each camera (dual dome locations shall have 2)
. One 18/2 cable to each camera (dual dome locations shall have 2)
. One 22/4 to each duress station
. One 22/4 to each door contact
. One 18/2 to each REX
. One 18/4 to each TREX
. One 18/2 to each mag lock
. One 18/2 to each electric strike
. One CatS cable to each reader

5) What are the mounting heights of the various cameras? Are any pole mounted? We need
this information so that the correct mounting devices are provided.

All interior cameras are mounted in drop ceiling or drywall. The ceiling height is either 8', 9'
6" or 12'. All exterior cameras are mounted to concrete columns or wall. The highest
external camera mount location is at an approximate height of 20 feet. All mounting, labor,
equipment necessary for mounting, etc must be supplied by security installer.

6) What are the sizes of the security monitors? Are they VGA, CRT, LCD, etc. ?

19" LCD monitors for the lobby monitoring station.
Unspecified wall mount flat displays for the Police Dispatch monitoring station.

SIB
