You could put an announcement on your overhead paging system, send an email to everyone, or even post messages in the break rooms. But each of these methods has its own issues. . You may not have an overhead paging system, or if you do, you probably don't want to use it for informational messages. . An email message sent to the entire organization will require storage space, particularly if it is an audio file. . Not everyone will notice a message posted in the break rooms. Because the messages go through existing hardware (your phones), there is no need to purchase and wire an overhead speaker system throughout your buildings. The application also allows for extremely cost- effective information sharing. Unlike an email message sent to all of your employees that would take up valuable storage space, Squawk broadcasts have comparatively minimal storage requirements. And Squawk will not interfere with a phone's normal functioning. If a call comes in while a user is listening to a broadcast, the broadcast goes into whisper mode. The person on the other end of the line will not notice a difference in voice quality, and won't hear the message being played. The user can also stop the message at any time. Requirements .
