Arias, Information Technology Director Date: January 13, 2005 Re: Toshiba Copier Lease For Sunny Isles Beach Government Center RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution. REASONS: The City currently has three Toshiba copiers: one in the building department, and two in City Hall. The City will require two additional copiers given the larger size of our new Government Center. In addition, the existing copiers should be replaced with newer models that are faster and/or have additional features, such as color copying, to meet some of the specialized needs of various City departments. The new proposal will provide faster black & white copiers for the City Clerks office and Building department, as well as color copiers for general use on the third and fourth floors of the new facility. One additional color copier will be provided on the ground floor for Cultural and Human Services. The recommended proposal from Toshiba Business Solutions is based on existing government contracts with the City of Miami and the University of Florida, therefore this agreement is exempt from the competitive bidding process under the City's purchasing ordinance. 011305 Toshiba Lease Agenda MenwDoc Agenda Item Date
