<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005- 7ft;9 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE <br />FOR THE LEASE OF 1,200 SQUARE FEET OF OFFICE SPACE <br />IN THE NEW SUNNY ISLES BEACH GOVERNMENT CENTER, <br />IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE SAME FORM AND AMOUNT <br />($8,400.00) AS THE AGREEMENT A TT ACHED HERETO AS <br />EXHIBIT "A", PROVIDING THAT ANY CHANGES ARE <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGAL SUFFICIENCY BY THE <br />CITY ATTORNEY; PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER WITH <br />THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach leases a portion of its government offices to <br />the United States Postal Service ("Postal Service") for a branch location; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, those government offices are relocating to the new Sunny Isles Beach <br />Government Center ("Government Center") located at 18070 Collins Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to continue to lease office space to the Postal Service for a <br />branch location at the new Government Center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Postal Service has submitted a lease agreement, which the City Manager <br />will further negotiate, for office space in the new Government Center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the final, negotiated lease agreement will be reviewed as to form and legal <br />sufficiency by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorization of City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager is hereby <br />authorized to negotiate and enter into an agreement with the United States Postal Service for the <br />lease of 1,200 square feet of office space in the new Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, in <br />substantially the same form and amount ($8,400.00) as the agreement attached hereto as Exhibit <br />"A", provided that agreement is approved as to form and legal sufficiency by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Section 2. Further Authorization of City Manager.
