<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,
<br />ACCEPTING DONATIONS FROM ROYALE FLORIDA ENTERPRISES
<br />INC; SUNNY ISLES LUXURY VENTURES, LLC; AND RESIDENCES AT
<br />OCEAN GRANDE, INC., OF $3,000.00 EACH TO BE APPLIED TOWARD
<br />THE PURCHASE OF 65mm X 65mm X 90mm OPTIC CRYSTALS WITH
<br />ART WORK TO COMMEMORATE THE NEW GOVERNMENT
<br />CENTER, IN A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $9,000.00, ATTACHED HERETO
<br />AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL
<br />THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION;
<br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach opened the new Government Center and was
<br />desirous of producing an item to commemorate the occasion; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on December 9, 2004, the City Commission approved the purchase of
<br />65mm X 65mm X 90mm optic crystals with art work in the amount of $18,250.00 through
<br />Resolution No. 2004-747 to commemorate the new Government Center; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Royale Florida Enterprises, Inc., Sunny Isles Luxury Ventures, LLC, and
<br />Residences at Ocean Grande, Inc., have offered to donate $3,000.00 each to the City to be
<br />applied toward the purchase of 65mm X 65mm X 90mm Optic Crystals with Art Work to
<br />commemorate the new Government Center, in the total amount of $9,000.00, and the City has
<br />the authority to accept donations as a non-profit municipal corporation; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it is the belief of the majority of this City Commission that they had voted
<br />on this December 9,2004, but apparently upon listening to the tapes the Commission have found
<br />that it is incorrect and therefore the Commission is voting on it today to clarify that
<br />misunderstanding; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City desires to accept the donations from Royale Florida Enterprises,
<br />Inc., Sunny Isles Luxury Ventures, LLC, and Residences at Ocean Grand, Inc. of $3,000.00 each
<br />to be applied toward the Optic Crystals with Art Work.
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br />Section I. Accepting Donations. The City Commission hereby accepts the donations of
<br />$3,000.00 each from Royale Florida Enterprises, Inc., Sunny Isles Luxury Ventures, LLC, and
<br />Residences at Ocean Grande, Inc., to be applied toward the purchase of Optic Crystals with Art
<br />Work to commemorate the new Government Center.
<br />
<br />Section 2. Authority of City Manager. The City Manager has the authority to do all things
<br />necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
