<br />5, I ,3 Business Automobile Liability with minimum limits of One Million Dollars (1,000,000,00) per
<br />occurrence, combined single limit for Bodily Injury Liability and Property Damage Liability,
<br />Coverage must be afforded on a fonn no more restrictive than the latest edition of the Business
<br />Automobile Liability policy, without restrictive endorsements, as filed by the Insurance Services
<br />Office, and must include:
<br />
<br />5,1.3,1 Owned Vehicles,
<br />
<br />5,1.3,2 Hired and Non-Owned Vehicles,
<br />
<br />5,1.3,3 Employers' Non-Ownership,
<br />
<br />5,2 Before starting the Work, the CONTRACTOR will file with the CITY certificates of such insurance, acceptable
<br />to the CITY; these certificates shall contain a provision that the coverage afforded under the policies will not be canceled
<br />or materially changed until at least thirty (30) days prior written notice has been given to the CITY and CONSUL T ANT
<br />by certified mail. The CITY shall be named as an additional insured on the above-referenced policies,
<br />
<br />5,3 The CONTRACTOR agrees that if any part of the Work under the Contract is sublet, they will require the
<br />Subcontractor(s) to carry insurance as required, and that they will require the Subcontractor(s) to furnish to them
<br />insurance certificates similar to those required by the CITY in 5,1 above,
<br />
<br />Cancellation and Re-Insurance:
<br />
<br />5,6 If any insurance should be canceled or changed by the insurance company or should any insurance expire during
<br />the period of this contract, the CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for securing other acceptable insurance to provide
<br />the coverage specified in this section to maintain coverage during the life of this Contract.
<br />
<br />5,7 AU deductibles must be declared by the CONTRACTOR and must be approved by the CITY. At the option of
<br />the CITY, either the CONTRACTOR shall eliminate or reduce such deductible or the CONTRACTOR shall procure
<br />a Bond, in a fonn satisfactory to the CITY, covering tbe same,
<br />
<br />ARTICLE 6 - CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES
<br />
<br />Supervision and Superintendence:
<br />
<br />6,1 The CONTRACTOR will supervise and direct tbe Work, They will be solely responsible for the means, methods,
<br />techniques, sequences and procedures of construction, The CONTRACTOR will employ and maintain a qualified
<br />supervisor or superintendent at the Work site who shall be designated in writing by the CONTRACTOR as the
<br />CONTRACTOR'S representative at the site, The supervisor shall have full authority to act on behalf of the
<br />CONTRACTOR and all communications given to the supervisor shall be as binding as if given to the CONTRACTOR.
<br />The supervisors shall be present at each site at all times as required to perfonn adequate supervision and coordination
<br />of the Work. (Copies of written communications given to the Superintendent shall be mailed to the CONTRACTOR'S
<br />home office).
<br />
<br />Labor, Materials and Equipment:
<br />
<br />6,2 The CONTRACTOR will provide competent, suitably qualified personnel to layout the Work and perform
<br />construction as required by the Contract Documents, They will at all times maintain good discipline and order at the
<br />site,
<br />
<br />6,3 The CONTRACTOR will furnish all materials, equipment, labor, transportation, construction equipment and
<br />machinery, tools, appliances, fuel, power, light, heat, local telephone, water and sanitary facilities and all other facilities
<br />
