Because <br /> agencies at all levels share this common ground,they are able to cooperate with one another to a <br /> greater degree and respond more effectively to emergency situations. Presidential Directive—5 <br /> (HSPD-5) requires that state, territorial,tribal, and local level jurisdictions adopt NIMS. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br /> City staff and members of the Commission received an introduction to NIMS principles during <br /> six training sessions held during the week of August 22, 2005. <br /> Agenda Item <br /> Date <br />
