Hines, City Clerk <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: The Honorable Mayor and City Commission <br />FROM: Hans OUino!, City AttorneY~ <br />DATE: September 8, 2005 <br /> <br />RE: Authorizing the City Manager to pay Attorney's fees, Appraisal Fees and Court <br />Costs for Vanguard Car Rental USA, Inc. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached Resolution. <br /> <br />Reasons: <br /> <br />On March 24, 2005 the City obtained title to the property leased by Vanguard Car Rental USA, <br />Inc., commonly known as the "Alamo Property". Subsequently, on April 14, 2005, an amended <br />lease agreement was executed between the City and Vanguard Car Rental USA, Inc. relating to the <br />use of the aforementioned property. Pursuant to the amended lease, the City is required to pay <br />Vanguard's attorneys' fees and costs.
