':_'OTTONWOOD HEIGHTS RESOLUTION No. 05-14 A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO COLIN BAENZIGER & ASSOCIATES WHEREAS, f011nation ofthe city of Cottonwood Heights (the "City") was approved by 85% tbe voters in a special election held on 4 May 2004; and WHEREAS, at that speCial election, the voters also decided that the City would be operated under the "council-manager" optional form of municipal government authorized by Utah law; and WHEREAS, the City's first officers-elect were elected at the general election held on 2 November 2004; and WHEREAS, realizing the need to promptly locate and retain a qualified manager acceptable to the City's officers-elect, in mid-November 2004 the City retained Colin Baenziger & Associates ("Consultant") to assist in its search for the City's first manager; and WHEREAS, in view ofthe anticipated incorporation ofthe City in early January 2005, time was of the essence in locating the manager; and 'WHEREAS, Consultant quickly solicited and reviewed the resumes of high quality candidates; and WHEREAS, Consultant did a superb job of screening the candidates and completing background checks within a vel'Y short period, notwithstanding the intervening Thanksgiving holiday; and WHEREAS, Consultam coordinated the interview process in a highly competent, Drofessional manner and otherwise provided timely, valuable assistance to the City's officers-elect in evaluating the finalists and in selecting the candidate they concluded was best suited to serve as the City's first manager; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the municipal council (the "Caul/eft') of Cottonwood Heights that the COUIlcilherebyexpresses its gratitu<ie to Colin Baenziger & Associates tOr itsperformancein coordinating the entire manager recruitment process in a highly competent, timely andp:fofessional manner. This Resolution, assigned no. 05-14, shall take effect immediately upon passage, PASSED AND APPROVED this 25lh day of January 2005. ~ ~
