<br />Fee and Warranty <br /> <br />VI. Fee and Warrantv <br />-' <br /> <br />Fee <br /> <br />Colin Baenziger & Associates proposes to conduct the work outlines in this proposal firm, fixed <br />fees of: $19,000 including all expenses and costs except those involved in the interview <br />weekend (candidate travel and the reception). We should note that this dollar figure is lower <br />than what most other experienced municipal government search firms charge (when expenses are <br />factored in) and can be offered because the firm has focused on keeping its overhead low. Our <br />clients benefit as a result. <br /> <br />If the City requests our firm to perform work which is very clearly beyond the scope of the RFP, <br />it will be billed at a rate of $125 per hour. No such work will be performed without written <br />authorization from the City. As an aside, we never billed or asked for more money for a city <br />manager search, even in circumstances where we were probably entitled to it. <br /> <br />Services will be billed as rendered with payment due upon receipt of invoice. Final payment is <br />due when the Manager the City selects executes hislher contract with the City. <br /> <br />Warranty <br /> <br />Colin Baenziger & Associates offers what we believe is the best warranty in the industry. We <br />can offer it because we have confidence in our work. Specifically, provided the City selects <br />from among the candidates we recommend, we warrant the following: <br /> <br />1 ) We will not approach the selected candidate to consider any other position as long as the <br />individual is employed by the City as its manager. <br /> <br />2) Should the manager leave the City for any reason other than an act of God within the first <br />year, CB&A will repeat the search at no charge. Should the manager leave during the <br />second year (again for any reason other than an act of God), we will repeat the search for <br />the cost of our expenses only. <br /> <br />3) Should the City not be satisfied with any or the candidates presented, CB&A will repeat <br />the search until the City is satisfied. <br /> <br />4) Our price is guaranteed and will not be exceeded for any reason even should the <br />conditions under which this contract is issued change. <br /> <br />-18- <br /> <br />if"..' ~ R.' <br />\~.J if" <br />~~ i: [kJ <br />
