<br />Governmental Search Assignments <br />Continued <br /> <br />City Manager, City of Marathon, FL (population 11,500): Working with a citizen's advisory <br />committee, we completed a very successful search in approximately 75 days. In recognition of <br />our efforts, the City Council passed a resolution recognizing and thanking us for our <br />"extraordinary efforts" (see Appendix D). After 18 months, the Village and the Manager parted <br />company. We repeated the search per our warranty in approximately 60 days. In October 2004, <br />contrary to our recommendation, the Council selected a local candidate.
