<br />COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 05.14 <br />A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION <br />TO COLIN BAENZIGER & ASSOCIATES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, fom1ation ofthe city of Cottonwood Heights (the "City") was approved by 85% <br />of the voters in a special election held on 4 May 2004; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at that special election, the voters also decided that the City would be operated <br />under the "council-manager" optional form of municipal government authorized by Utah law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City'surst officers-elect were elected at the general election held on 2 <br />November 2004; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, realizing the need to promptly locate and retain a qualified manager acceptable <br />to the City's officers-elect, in mlG-November 2004 the City retained Colin Baenziger & Associates <br />("Consultant") to assist in its search for the City's first manager; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in view of the anticipated incorporation of the City in early January 2005, time <br />\vas of the essence in locating the manager; and <br /> <br />'VHEREAS, Consultant quickly solicited and reviewed the resumes of high quality <br />candidates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Consultant did a superb job of screening the candidates and completing <br />background checks within a very short period, notwithstanding the intervening Thanksgiving <br />holiday; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Consultam coordinated the interview process in a highly competent, <br />professional manner and otherwise provided timely, valuable assistance to the City's officers-elect <br />lIi evaluating the finalists and in selecting the candidate they concluded was best suited to serve as <br />I.he City's first manager; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the municipal council (the "Councif') of <br />Cottonwo09 Heights that tie ColillCil ~byexpresses jtsgr~tu<ietQColinBaenziger & Associates <br />for its performance in coordinating the entire manager- recruitment process in a highly competent, <br />timely and.prof~iona1 manner. <br /> <br />This Resolution, assigned no. 05-14, shall take effect immediately upon passage. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 25lh day of January 2005. <br /> <br />C'- '. ~1 <br />tJ " r~~ <br />
