<br />The School District of Lee County, Florida - RFP # 6211 <br />Document Imaging System <br /> <br />August 5, 2004 <br /> <br />4.0 PROOF OF CONCEPT - STATEMENT OF EXCEPTIONS <br /> <br />SOLC's approach to a 'Proof-ot-Concept' pilot system IS an admirable one, and R&S Integrated supports it <br />fully Conducting a review ot the current environment, processes, filing structures, Indices, workflow, etc, <br />and developing a gap analysis and potential process re-deslgn recommendation IS a standard R&S <br />solution design step, conducted very early in the lite of the project. We welcome the opportunity to do so <br />by Invitation of the SOLC, as we believe It is an imperative step to a successful solution Implementation <br /> <br />We are fully prepared to implement a model or pilot system which demonstrates the key features and <br />functionality of the proposed solution In order to provide a system which will demonstrate the necessary <br />functional competency while minimizing the risks of disruption to the eXisting computer Infrastructure, R&S <br />will work in concert with SOLC to implement the solution to the minimum extent necessary to prove the <br />necessary concepts and functionality In the very unlikely event that SOLC determines the model system <br />to not address SOLe's stated reqUirements, extraction of the system will have a minimal impact. <br /> <br />We believe that between the up-front gap analysis and reviSIOn of the project Implementation plan and <br />schedule, In conjunction with a well-designed model system, SDLC will find no issues nor any reason to <br />not move forvvard with full Implementation of the solution <br /> <br />5.0 SPECIAL CONDITIONS - STATEMENT OF EXCEPTIONS <br /> <br />R&S agrees to the SOLC's Special Conditions, and has no exceptions to state regarding the Special <br />Conditions <br /> <br />6.0 TRAINING <br /> <br />R&S will provide on-Site training for all designated departmental users and IT personnel. Training is <br />conducted uSing production processes and departmental hard copy at the user location General system <br />training in document retrieval and access can be accomplished at the user desktop and/or using a <br />classroom setting <br /> <br />Prior to the delivery and install event, a meeting will be scheduled with project designated IT personnel <br />and/or administrators, designated departmental users, and project managers DUring the meeting, R&S <br />Will explain the required network access for installation and setup, review project components and <br />functions.
