Edclcup I}1IYt <br /> <br />January 19,2006 ( <br /> <br />Resolution Incrcasing the Initial Tcndcr of thc City Commission of Eight Million <br />Fivc Hundrcd Thousand Dollars ($8.5 million) bv Onc Million and Five <br />. v <br />Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1.5 million) for thc Acquisition of 2.1 Acrcs of <br />Land Located at 182 Drive and Atlantic Boulcvard for the Construction of a K-8 <br />School <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />By Resolution No. 2005-809, adopted on July 14, 2005, the City Commission approved the <br />tender of eight million five hundred thousand dollars ($8.5 million) to the School Board for the <br />acquisition of the site for the proposed school. However, due to increasing property values in the <br />City, the School Board has requested additional contribution from the City. <br /> <br />Through negotiations with the School Board, the City has agreed to increase its initial tender <br />offer to ten (10) million dollars. <br /> <br />Agenda Item <br /> <br />Date <br />
