Hines, City Clerk <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />The Honorable City Commission <br /> <br />Jorge Vera, Assistant City Manag~ <br /> <br />January 19, 2006 ~ <br /> <br />Central Island Stormwater Drainage Project - Interlocal Agreement between <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach and Miami-Dade County <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />This Resolution is presented for your consideration and approval. <br /> <br />REASONS <br /> <br />This Resolution approves the execution of an interlocal agreement between the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach and Miami-Dade County for the receipt and expenditure of Building Better <br />Communities General Obligation Bond Program (BBC GOB Program) funds to construct the <br />Central Island Drainage Project. <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach requires the construction of a storm water drainage system for <br />Central Island to protect itself from potential flooding due to its antiquated current drainage <br />system. <br /> <br />The total cost of the project is estimated at $5,500,000 and Miami-Dade County has approved <br />and allocated funds in the amount of $2,500,000 from the BBC GOB Program. <br /> <br />PSJ/pr <br /> <br />Agenda Item <br />Date <br /> <br />City Comnussion <br />Central Island Stormwater Drainage Memo <br />
