INC. FOR FIREWORKS DISPLAY <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution to approve an <br />agreement with Zambelli Fireworks Manufacturing Company, Inc. to provide a fireworks display, <br />with a barge, on Saturday, June 17, 2006 for the City's Ninth Anniversary celebration in the amount <br />of Twenty Eight Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($28,500.00). <br /> <br />REASONS <br /> <br />City Commission expressed a desire to have a high quality fireworks show for the city's annual <br />anniversary event. Zambelli Fireworks is a licensed and insured pyrotechnics company that <br />provided the fireworks display for the City's Eighth Anniversary event. They are familiar with this <br />area, the permining process, have access to a barge that is required for our show and they have <br />contracts with several other government agencies nationwide. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br /> <br />Fireworks in this city require a barge to fire them from the ocean. Rising fuel costs have increased <br />the price of the barge and the fireworks. The contracted amount will provide the same length and <br />concentration as last year's display. This agreement piggybacks on the contract Zambelli currently <br />has with the City of Boca Raton. All terms, conditions, prices, and specifications of the City of Boca <br />Raton's approved RFP No. 2005-079 apply to our agreement. Contract amount includes all <br />expenses and permining fees.
