John Szerlag, City Manager <br /> <br />Alyce Hanson, Director of Administrative Services ~ <br /> <br />June 15,2006 <br /> <br />New Slogan: FIorida's Riviera <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Commission has indicated its desire to adopt a new sIogan Florida's Riviera - replacing the <br />tag line a life with a view. The attached resolution provides an opportunity for the Commission to do <br />so officially. <br /> <br />DIRECTION <br />Upon approval of this resolution, pI ease provide direction as to how to proceed. It has been <br />recommended that the City evolve its branding to include this new slogan in a manner that continues <br />to build, not weaken, the City's image. <br /> <br />Please find attached an e-letter from Bert Oliva, President/CEO of The Altius Group, a professional <br />branding company, outlining the process recommended for evolving an organization's branding. <br />They are prepared to guide the City through the process and have submitted a proposal to do so, <br />which is also attached. <br /> <br />Funding would come from the Administrative Services Department budget. <br /> <br />Attachments: 2 <br /> <br />Agenda Item' D p <br />Date ~~ \ 5-0b <br />
