RESOLUTION NO. 2006-.3.!::[1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE UNIFORM SIGN PLAN SUBMITTED BY RK ASSOCIATES FOR SHOPPING PLAZAS LOCATED AT 168 - 180 STREETS AND COLLINS AVENUE, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on February 16, 2006, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 2006- 244, amending Article IX of the Land Development Regulations of the City of Sunny Isles Beach relating to Sign Regulations; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2006-244 (commonly known as the Sign Code) established a requirement for multi-tenant shopping centers to submit a uniform sign plan for the approval of the City Commission; and WHEREAS, under the Sign Code, all signs in multi-tenant plazas must be uniformed in terms of illumination, material, fabrication, sign area, and in terms of color; and WHEREAS, RK Associates has submitted a uniform site plan for shopping plazas located at 168th Street, 170th Street, 171 st Street, 176th Street, 180th Street and Collins Avenue, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", for City Commission approval; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning staff has reviewed the plans submitted and finds that the plans are in compliance with the Sign Code, specifically Section 265-58(1). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Uniform Sign Plan. The Uniform Sign Plan submitted by RK Associates for shopping plazas located at 168th Street, 170th Street, 171 st Street, 176th Street, 180th Street and Collins Avenue, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby approved. Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution will be become effective upon adoption. PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of July 2006.
