<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-.3.!::[1 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING <br />THE UNIFORM SIGN PLAN SUBMITTED BY RK <br />ASSOCIATES FOR SHOPPING PLAZAS LOCATED AT 168 <br />- 180 STREETS AND COLLINS AVENUE, ATTACHED <br />HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING THE CITY <br />MANAGER WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL <br />THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF <br />THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on February 16, 2006, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 2006- <br />244, amending Article IX of the Land Development Regulations of the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach relating to Sign Regulations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2006-244 (commonly known as the Sign Code) established <br />a requirement for multi-tenant shopping centers to submit a uniform sign plan for the approval of <br />the City Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under the Sign Code, all signs in multi-tenant plazas must be uniformed in <br />terms of illumination, material, fabrication, sign area, and in terms of color; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, RK Associates has submitted a uniform site plan for shopping plazas <br />located at 168th Street, 170th Street, 171 st Street, 176th Street, 180th Street and Collins Avenue, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit "A", for City Commission approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning staff has reviewed the plans submitted and finds <br />that the plans are in compliance with the Sign Code, specifically Section 265-58(1). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Uniform Sign Plan. The Uniform Sign Plan submitted by RK <br />Associates for shopping plazas located at 168th Street, 170th Street, 171 st Street, 176th Street, <br />180th Street and Collins Avenue, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date. This Resolution will be become effective upon adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of July 2006. <br />
