Vera, Assistant City Manager n <br /> <br />March 16, 2006 \j <br /> <br />County Incentive Grant Program (CIGP) <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />This Resolution is presented for your consideration and approval. <br /> <br />REASONS <br /> <br />The City is applying to the County for a County Incentive Grant Program (CIGP) through the <br />Florida Department of Transportation for the pedestrian/bicycle bridge at 172nd to 174th Street. <br />The City desires to construct a connector bridge between 172nd and 174th Street, to reduce pedestrian <br />and vehicular traffic on Collins Avenue. Whereas part of the requirements to obtain the County <br />Incentive Grant from the County, a resolution from the City Commission has to be presented to the <br />County Commission. The amount of the grant is for $763,000 with matching funds from the City. <br />As you may recall the City has also applied a second time for an MPO grant in the amount of <br />$1,000,000. <br /> <br />Agenda Item I 0 F <br />Date 3-llo -O~ <br />
