Watts, Directo~ <br />Public Works Departmen~/ <br /> <br />March 16, 2006 <br /> <br />STORM DRAIN CLEANING <br /> <br />RECOMMENDA TION: <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approve an agreement with Shenandoah <br />Construction Company of Pompano, Florida, for the cleaning and jetting of the City <br />storm drains. <br /> <br />REASON (S): <br />Each year at the beginning of hurricane season we clean all debris from our lines to <br />avoid flooding caused by backups during a storm. This will include the cleaning of 200 <br />catch basins, jet 2,500 L.F. of outfalls and the disposal of six (6) trucks of debris. This <br />agreement is in the amount of $24,475.50, with two one-year renewal options. <br /> <br />OTHER INFORMATION: <br />Other companies involved in the bidding process were Proline Vactor Services, Tri- <br />County Plumbing Services, and Miami Industrial Service. <br /> <br />Agenda Item ---l 0 ~ <br />Date 3 - J to - O~ <br />
