RESOLUTION NO. 2006-/022. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING ADMINISTRATIVE BUDGET AMENDMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006-2007 ADOPTED BUDGET TRANSFERRING FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00) WITHIN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT BUDGET TO HIRE THREE (3) PART-TIME GENERAL LABORERS; PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Chapter 10 of the City Code provides the City Manager with the authority to administratively approved minor amendments to the budget provided that such transfer is not more than twenty percent (20%) of the total budget of each department; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has requested to hire three (3) part-time general laborers to clean the parks, beaches and beach access points, and other duties as requested; and WHEREAS, Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000,00) was budgeted in Professional Services based on using a third party contractor, however, the City would be able to provide better service for no additional cost, and has requested that this amount be transferred as indicated below; and WHEREAS, while the City Code does not require approval of the City Commission for minor amendments, the City Manager is seeking the approval of the City Commission for minor amendments discussed herein. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.
