John Szerlag, City Manag <br /> <br /> <br />TO: The Honorable City Com . . <br /> <br />DATE: December 14, 2006 <br /> <br />RE: SUPPLEMENT TO ORIGINAL CONSULT ANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH AND BEISWENGER HOCH AND <br />ASSOCIATES FOR CENTRAL ISLAND DRAINAGE PROJECT <br /> <br />Attached is a supplement to the original Consultant Agreement with Beiswenger Hoch and <br />Associates relative to the Central Island Drainage Project. Specifically, this agreement covers <br />two areas; plan revisions in the amount of $16,810.00, and technical assistance during the <br />bidding process on an hourly basis not to exceed $7,200. And although one could argue that <br />some or all of this work in the Supplemental Agreement could be part of the original scope of <br />work, this project should have been completed two years ago, and it is now a time sensitive <br />Issue. <br /> <br />As you know, construction costs increases continuously. In addition, this project is required to <br />provide drainage for the new School and Active Park.
