JoOO Szerlag, City Manage~ ~ <br />December 14, 2006 <br /> <br />EXTENSION OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR <br />ACTIVE PARK <br /> <br />We currently have a Construction Management Agreement with Calvin, Giordano & Associates <br />in the amount of $102,978.75 to essentially manage the Active Park Project on behalf of the <br />City. The current contract has estimated time frames of 195 hours for the Construction <br />Management Director; 790 hours for inspection, and 55 hours for clerical. Please know that I <br />think it's important to allocate more construction management time in terms of coordinating with <br />the contractor to complete the project on schedule; coordination with the Architect for submittal <br />approvals for final certification; and resolve any confliCts in the field. <br /> <br />To this end, attached is a work authorization estimate from Calvin, Giordano & Associates which <br />enhances the construction management component of our existing contract by including an <br />additional 256 hours of construction management time.
