These initiatives have directly affected 10,000 teachers
in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system, and more than 380,000 students. The
Citibank FamilyTech program, run by The Education Fund, accepts donations of computer
equipment, which is then refurbished, made Internet-ready, and then loaned on a long-term basis
to low-income families with children at selected Miami-Dade County Public Schools. More
information on The Education Fund is available on their web site, www.educationfund.org.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Attached is the donation form and exhibits itemizing the surplus equipment to be donated.

To be comoleted by Department Head To be comoleted bv City Clerk's ORice
Funding available: Approval: Agenda Item No.: \ 0 ~
Finance Department City Manager 2- I 5-01
Commission Meeting Date:

Cover Memo PC DonatlOn.Doc
