<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-ID 'll <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE <br />OF FOURTEEN (14) ROUND-TRIP AIRLINE TICKETS FROM <br />KAPLAN TOURS OF NETANYA, FOR THE HAVAZALOT- <br />NETANYA DANCE TROUPE OF NETANYA, ISRAEL TO <br />PERFORM AT THE CITY'S 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, <br />IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FOURTEEN THOUSAND <br />THREE HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS ($14,360.00), ATTACHED <br />HERETO AS EXmBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br />TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE TERMS <br />OFTHIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FORAN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach will be celebrating its I O'h Anniversary on June <br />16,2007, and is desirous of including the Havazalot-Netanya Dance Troupe to perform at this most <br />important City milestone; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission directed the IO'h Year Anniversary Committee to invite <br />the Havazalot-Netanya Dance Troupe to the City's IO'h Anniversary Celebration, to perform at the <br />Ramada on Thursday, June 14,2007, and at the lO'h Year Anniversary Party at Samson Oceanfront <br />Park on Saturday, June 15,2007; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to purchase fourteen (14) round-trip airline <br />tickets from Kaplan Tours of Net any a, Israel, in the amount of Fourteen Thousand Three Hundred <br />Sixty Dollars ($14,360.00), as outlined in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for airfare for twelve (12) <br />dancers, one (I) choreographer, and one (I) city official in charge of culture in Netanya, for the <br />City's lO'h Anniversary Celebration. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF TI-IE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section I. Approval of Purchase. The City Commission hereby approves the purchase offourteen <br />(14) round-trip airline tickets from Kaplan Tours of Net any a, in the amount not to exceed Fourteen <br />Thousand Three Hundred Sixty Dollars ($14,360.00), as outlined in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of Citv Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
