Vera, Assistant City Manager/ Service Division <br /> <br />April 13, 2007 <br /> <br />Receptacles for proposed community center at Pelican Park <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution authorizing a change <br />order to Siltek Group contract for the Pelican Park. <br /> <br />REASONS <br /> <br />The City has requested from Siltek Group a change order for the installation of additional electrical <br />and computer receptacles in the proposed community center located in the Pelican Park. These <br />receptacles were never part of the original approved plans and after discussion with the Culture and <br />Human Service and IT Directors, we agreed that the additional outlets are needed for the types of <br />programs that will be taking place in the community center. The cost for these new receptacles will <br />not exceed $25,0000. The majority of the receptacles will be floor outlets in the second floor of the <br />building, thereby increasing the cost. <br /> <br />This resolution is just a formality to inform the City commission of changes to the original approved <br />plans. The additional cost for the receptacles will be taken from the contingency of $600.000 dollars <br />that was approved in the contract with Siltek Group.
