Edelcup <br /> <br />June 21, 2007 <br />Contribution to Hands On Miami,~ <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution contributing <br />$1,000.00 to the Build A More Beautiful Miami-Dade Fund of Hands on Miami. <br /> <br />REASONS <br /> <br />On May 22, 2007, Hands on Miami launched the Build A More Beautiful Miami-Dade Fund at the <br />first annual Mayors' Reception. At that time, the Mayors of Miami-Dade pledged to devote their <br />municipalities' support to the success of the initiative with an opening drive of $25,000. <br /> <br />Hands On Miami has sent a letter requesting our donation, ensuring that every municipality <br />pledge will be matched by a $50,000 challenge grant from the Batchelor Foundation.
