1 <br />SECTION 00020 <br />NOTICE TO BIDDERS <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CITY COMMISSION of THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH is seeking sealed bids for the following work as specified. <br />STATE ROAD 826 / SUNNY ISLES BOULEVARD PROJECT <br />CGA Project No. 03- 4122.D <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach Bid No. 07 -03 -02 <br />Sealed bids for the construction of the STATE ROAD 826 / SUNNY ISLES <br />BOULEVARD ENHANCEMENT PROJECT consisting of roadway improvements and <br />sidewalk enhancements to Eastbound SR 826 from Intracoastal bridge (Mile Post <br />5.401) to State Road Al A / Collins Avenue (M.P. 5.99). The improvements include <br />the reduction of the pavement width from the existing five (5) lanes to four (4) <br />1 lanes by reconstructing and widening the sidewalk. The remaining asphalt <br />pavement will be milled and resurfaced and restriped with new pavement markings. <br />Signing will also be upgraded throughout the project. Other improvements include <br />upgrading the signal for the mid -block pedestrian crossing with a new mast arm and <br />upgrading the existing street lighting with decorative lights. Further improvements <br />include streetscape and landscape enhancements within the new pavers on the <br />sidewalks. These aforementioned improvements will be received by the Owner, City <br />of Sunny Isles Beach. <br />Bids shall be on a unit price basis; segregated bids will not be accepted. Sealed <br />bids will be received by the City Clerk no later than 11:00 am, on Monday, April <br />30, 2007 at the City of Sunny Isles Beach, City Hall located at 18070 Collins <br />Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, 33160. Bids received after this time will not <br />be considered. The City is under no obligation to return bids. Timely submitted bids <br />will be opened publicly and read aloud at this time. <br />Bidders may obtain complete sets of Bidding Documents from the office of the City <br />tClerk of the City of Sunny Isles Beach at 18070 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, <br />Florida 33160 at no cost.
