<br />Miami-Dade Park and Recreation <br /> <br />Marina Division Manual <br /> <br />9!'~~:~ <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br />MARINA RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PERMIT <br /> <br />40) Insurance Policy: Boat owners will be required to provide a certificate of insurance which <br />indicates that insurance coverage has been obtained. Effective October I, 2007 if the <br />insurance certificate is not on file then the Berth Permit will be terminated. The policy is <br />as outlined below: <br /> <br />Boat owner's insurance, Yacht owner's insurance or stand alone protection and <br />Indemnity (P&I) insurance, with minimum Liability limits of $300,000 per occurrence. <br />Miami-Dade County must be ad additional insured with respect to Coverage. <br /> <br />The required insurance policies shall be in full force during all periods of time during <br />which the vessel is under a Miami-Dade County permit. <br /> <br />All insurance policies required above shall be companies authorized to do business under <br />the laws of the Sate of Florida, with the following qualifications: The company must be <br />rated no less than "Class V" as to financial strength, by the latest edition of Best's <br />Insurance guide, published by A. M. Best Company, Oldwick, New Jersey, or its <br />equivalent, subject to the approval of the County Risk Management Division. <br /> <br />OR <br /> <br />The Company must hold a valid Florida Certificate of Authority as shown in the latest <br />"List of Approved to Do Business in Florida," issued by the State of Florida Department <br />of Insurance and are members of the Florida Guaranty Fund. <br /> <br />Certificates will indicate no modification or change in insurance shall be made without <br />thirty (30) days written notice to the certificate holder. <br /> <br />The insurance policy includes all long term transients. A long term transient is a boat <br />that is in the marina 6 months or longer or is in the marina anytime between the months <br />of June 151 and November 30th. <br /> <br />41) Vessel Check-Out Procedure: Permittee departing a marina upon termination of <br />Agreement shall report to the Marina Manager's Office advising of date and time of <br />departure and shall satisfy all outstanding charges prior to leaving.
