City Man~~ <br />January ] 7, 2008 "'-...../\ <br /> <br /> <br />Ratification of Con!>ultant Service Proposals for: <br />1.- Update of Comprehen~ive Plan Policics/Rccrcation and Open Space Element; <br />2.- Parking Garages Study <br /> <br />As a result of our December 6, 2007 Workshop, r instructed Mr, Jack Luft, Planning Consultant <br />and Mr, Eric Penfield, Traffic Engineer to proceed with their attached proposals relative to <br />conducting a needs assessment to dctcm1inc the current and future needs with respect to Open <br />Space Development. Mr. Luft will be providing the planning and design services to analyze the <br />needs and priorities of the City for expanding its Open Space Facilities Program and <br />recommendations that will guide the implementation of such a program. <br /> <br />The trafficltransportation cnginccring services to be performed by Mr. Penfield will include a <br />series of tasks relative to parking needs, including parking structures. <br /> <br />The cost for the planning component will he on an hourly basis not to excccd $40.000.00, And <br />the cost for traffic engineering services is also on an hourly basis and will no! exceed <br />$36,240.00. funds are budged in account # 10-600-5313 <br /> <br />Thank you. <br /> <br />AJS/iw <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />cc: Hans OttinoL City Attorney <br />Jorge L.
