<br />· Appropriate funding increase of at least $100 million in order to maintain current <br />program offerings, meet rising costs of insurance, utilities and labor contracts; <br />· Amend the Classroom for Kids allocation formula for capital outlay funding to reflect <br />actual capital outlay need; <br />· Oppose legislation that reduces the number of in-service hours required of teachers <br />providing instruction to English Language Learners; and <br />· Oppose any attempt to modify gifted program criteria that would limit gifted program <br />offerings to our students. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
