WHEREAS, RK Associates has requested signage modifications to its previously approved Uniform Sign Plan to include (1) signage color of Red, White, Black, Green and Blue; (2) up to two colors combinations in each sign; and (3) the option of having either a reverse channel letter sign or a non-reverse straight channel letter. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Amendment of Resolution No. 2006-941. The City Commission hereby amends Resolution No. 2006-941 to approve RK Associates' revised Uniform Sign Plan to include the requested colors of Red, White, Black, Green and Blue, as well as the approve up to two color combinations for each sign. The requested colors include the two (2) colors approved pursuant to the settlement agreement. Section 2. Approval of Revised Uniform Sign Plan. The revised Sign Plan submitted by R.K. Associates, for the shopping plazas located at 16850, 17004-17108, and 18090-18290 Collins A venue, attached hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions: (A.) The Applicant's Sign Plan shall be limited to the three (3) different signage colors requested (i.e. Red. White, and Green), in addition to the existing Blue and Black colors, for a total of five (5) signage colors for Applicant to use at his shopping center properties. (B.) The Applicant shall not use more than two (2) signage colors for anyone sign unless there is a business trademark logo on the sign, in which case the signage color restrictions will not apply. (C.) The color of the fayade on the building elevations that house the signs shall match the color of the building and the palette of approved City colors. (D.) The five (5) approved signage colors shall conform to the following Sherwin Williams color numbers and names: (1) RED-SW6869 (name: "stop"); (2) BLUE-SW6811 (name: "horable blue"); (3) GREEN-SW6925 (name: "mb"); (4) BLACK-SW6258 (name: "tricorn black"); and (5) WHITE-SW7005 (name: "pure white"). (E.) The Applicant shall be required to utilize reversed channel lettering for all signs. (F.) The above conditions shall apply on a prospective basis. Section 3. Waiver of Application Fees. The Applicant's request for the City Commission to waive the $5,000.00 (Five Thousand Dollars) application fees is hereby granted. Section 4. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. Section 5. Effective Date. This Resolution will be become effective upon adoption.
