Grandinetti, Police Captain <br /> <br />June 19,2008 <br /> <br />Authorization for the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Kemp <br />Group International Corporation to provide school crossing guards, not to <br />exceed $ 121,000.00 annually. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution authorizing the Mayor <br />to enter into an agreement with the Kemp Group International Corporation to provide School <br />Crossing Guards for the safety of our school children. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />With the opening of the new Sunny Isles Beach Community School this upcoming school year, it <br />is imperative that school crossing guards are in place to ensure that the school children can safely <br />cross the streets while walking to and from school each school day. <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach will piggy back the Town of Davie's sealed bid process (B-06-25) <br />and agreement with the Kemp Group International Corporation to provide school crossing <br />guards. <br /> <br />Kemp Group International Corporation will provide an estimated ten (10) to twelve (12) school <br />crossing guards & supervisors at locations designated by the Police Department. The cost for the <br />supervisors and crossing guards are included in the $13.47 per guard hour price.
