<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008--1 ~ It.., <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH STREETER'S CATERING FOR CATERING <br />SERVICES FOR THE CITY'S ELEVENTH ANNIVERSARY <br />CELEBRATION ON SUNDAY, JUNE 22, 2008, IN THE AMOUNT <br />NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT <br />HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($24,875.00), A TT ACHED <br />HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br />EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach desires to celebrate its 11 III anniversary <br />coinciding with the Offshore Powerboat Challenge Weekend being held from Friday, June 20 <br />through Sunday, June 22, 2008; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, three (3) separate proposals for the required services were made, and <br />Streeter's Catering is the lowest responsible, responsive bidder, submitting a proposal in the <br />amount of Nine Dollars and Ninety-Five Cents ($9.95) per person for 2,500 people; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Streeter's Catering provided the catering services for the City's IOIIl <br />Anniversary Celebration last year and offered the best value for the specified menu; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City was happy with the quality and quantity of the food provided and <br />the services rendered; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an Agreement with Streeter's Catering, in the <br />amount not to exceed Twenty-Four Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy Five Dollars ($24,875.00), <br />attached hereto as Exhibit "A", for the provision of catering services at the City's 11 III anniversary <br />celebration on Sunday, June 22, 2008. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Agreement. The Agreement with Streeter's Catering for catering <br />services for the City's 11 III anniversary celebration on Sunday, June 22, 2008, in an amount not to <br />exceed Twenty-Four Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy Five Dollars ($24,875.00), attached <br />hereto as Exhibit "A", be, and the same, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of Mayor. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorization of City Manager.
