The last audit revealed that the City's 2008 charitable donation check to the Jewish Community Services of South Florida was one such check. Per my conversation with you, we have ascertained that the address provided was incorrect. As such, we have cancelled the first check and now are forwarding a new check. (For the record, the first check has yet to be returned by the Post Office). At its regular meeting of October 16, 2008, the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach adopted Resolution No. 2008-1334, which approved a charitable contribution to the Jewish Community Services of South Florida, in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000). The City of Sunny Isles Beach is committed to fostering social and CIVIC programs and services that benefit our residents directly and indirectly. The Jewish Community Services of South Florida has a proven track record of providing just such programs to the South Florida community.
