John Szerlag, City Manager <br /> <br />Jorge Vera, Assistant City Manager <br />Rick Conner, Director of Public Works <br /> <br />January 15, 2009 <br /> <br />Approval of Resolution Renewing Consulting Agreements with Engineering and <br />Architectural Firms <br /> <br />RECOMMENDA TION <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached Resolution authorizing the <br />renewal of consulting agreements with Marlin Engineering; Gannett Fleming Engineering; EAC <br />Engineering; BCC Engineering; A&P Engineering; Bermello Ajamil Engineering; and Coastal <br />Systems International Engineering for engineering services and LIVS Architects for architectural <br />servIces. <br /> <br />REASONS <br /> <br />In 2007, the City qualified these firms (plus others) to allow staff to utilize them for projects for <br />the City. Based on the performance of the approved firms, staff has narrowed the list for this <br />year. This system has worked very well and allows for much quicker response to Commission <br />requests. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION <br /> <br />As previously approved, consulting agreements in an amount of up to $20,000 shall require City <br />Manager approval and consulting agreements in the amount of $20,000 or more shall require City <br />Commission approval.
