Russo, City Manager
FROM: Audra K. Curts-Whann, Finance Director
DATE: 9/15/2016
RE: Blanket Purchase Orders for 2016-2017 Fiscal Year
under$50,000
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of blanket purchase orders for the
purchase of necessary office and other supplies and services from
various vendors for Fiscal Year 2016/2017 as per the attached listing.
REASONS:
Although the City Manager is authorized to approve purchases under
$50,000 it is prudent for the commission to be aware of the need for
blanket purchase orders (i.e. where it is not feasible to obtain quotes for
procurement of individual items due to the wide array of goods and
services that could be needed throughout the year from certain
vendors) and to ratify under city code section 62-12 those blankets
where staff has conducted a good faith review of available sources and
determined it is in the City's best interest to waive competitive bidding
procedures for certain goods and services.
FUNDING SOURCE:
See attached.
ATTACHMENTS:
Description
356
