<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009- ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING <br />THE NAMING OF A PARK BENCH THE "LEE LIEBMAN <br />P ARK BENCH" IN HONOR AND APPRECIATION OF HER <br />DEDICATION TO THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH; <br />DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND/OR HISIHER <br />DESIGNEE TO PLACE SIGNAGE COMMENSURATE <br />WITH THIS DISTINCTION ON SAID PARK BENCH; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL <br />THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br />RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lee Liebman has been an active and outstanding member of the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lee Liebman has served as a member on the Community Traffic Safety <br />Team & American Disability Act Advisory Committee, and the Traffic and Safety Committee of <br />the Mayor's Advisory Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, through her relentless efforts she was instrumental in the incorporation of <br />the City, she has donated her time and expertise on many City projects and functions for the <br />betterment of Sunny Isles Beach and its citizens, and she continues to faithfully attend the City <br />Commission meetings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission would like to honor her for her dedication to the City <br />by naming a park bench as "Lee Liebman Park Bench", the location of the park bench to be <br />determined. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Naming of Park Bench. The City Commission hereby names a park bench <br />as the "Lee Liebman Park Bench" in honor and appreciation of Lee Liebman's dedication to the <br />enhancement of life in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br /> <br />Section 2. Directive to City Manager. The City Commission hereby directs the City <br />Manager and/or his/her designee to place signage commensurate with this distinction on said <br />park bench. <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 4. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
