<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009-~~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO CREATE A MERIT BASE COMPENSATION <br />PROGRAM CONSISTENT WITH SECTION 166.021, FLORIDA <br />STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 166.021 (7), Florida Statutes, provides municipalities with the <br />authority to provide for an extra compensation program to reward outstanding employees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to grant the City Manager with the authority to <br />create an extra compensation program, including merit bonuses, to reward outstanding <br />employees. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Authorization of City Manager. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City <br />Manager to create an extra compensation program, including merit bonus, to reward outstanding <br />employees. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
