BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br /> <br />This project consisted of widening 1.6 miles of the Hialeah Expressway from 4 to 6 lanes. The existing bridges over the FEC Railroad, <br />Okeechobee Road, NW 69th Avenue and the Miami Canal were also widened to 6 lanes. The existing bridges were inspected before the design <br />was started and the bridges were load rated using LRFR to assure they could handle the additional loading. One bridge was ASSHTO girders <br />and the other were steel girders. <br /> <br /> <br />Professional services included roadway, bridge and drainage design, bridge <br />inspection, bridge ratings, survey and signing and marking plans. <br /> <br />Construction Cost: $22 Million <br /> <br />Relevance shows our bridge experience for concrete and steel design, inspection of <br />existing bridges and our capability to do load ratings for bridges. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />25.
