POINT OF CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBER <br />954.424.9622 <br /> <br />24 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope. size. and cost) <br /> <br />The 42,000-square-foot facility, located in Weston Regional Park, had its grand opening in November of 2006, introducing its <br />gymnasium, a 7,000-square-foot fitness center, an aerobics studio, a spinning room, children's playrooms, and a teen center. The <br />activity center includes a four-sided 28-foot climbing tower, a traverse wall where children learn the skill of bouldering, Ping-Pong, <br />Foosball, air hockey tables, video game station, and Internet access. The teen center includes a big-screen TV and a library of <br />movies, video games, Internet access, game tables and comfortable chairs. <br /> <br />In July of 2007, the aquatics center was opened. The outdoor facilities rounded out the West Broward YMCA's programs needs by <br />providing an Olympic size pool, a family fun pool, a plunge pool for the water slide tower and teaching area to fulfill the requirements <br />of the Broward County SWIM central grant. The construction cost of the entire facility that Cubellis was responsible for was $6.5 <br />million. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />25.
