Utility design included tying into an existing liftstation and a capacity analysis was performed for the station. Stormwater design included onsite retention coupled with a control structure with discharge to an adiacent ditch was provided for adequate flood control and water quality for the Public Safety complex. Task Order 1 2002-2003 e (4) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope. size. cost. etc) AND SPECIFIC ROLE o Check if project performed with current firm Mr. Ross was the Lead Project Engineer for the drainage design of 3 unique square-mile sections of Miami-Dade County's Westchester area. Project was funded by FEMA due to major flooding in the area. Proposed drainage improvements included the design of exfiltration trench to meet the 5-year storm water quality criteria set forth by DERM and FEMA for local streets. Streets that were located on section lines and half-section lines were designed with interconnectinq sub-basins spanninq the lenqth of the proiect and needed to meet 1 O-year storm water quality criteria set forth by DERM and FEMA. Project was funded by FEMA due to major flooding in the area. The North Canal is located in Homestead, Florida and provides flow between the Everglades and Biscayne Bay. Design followed FEMA, FHWNFOOT, Miami-Dade County Public Works, and Miami-Dade County DERM procedures and desiqn standards. .
