<br />Summary Minules: Special Cily Commission Meeling Oclober 29,2009 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br /> <br />Mayor Edelcup asked if we have determined ifthat payment on the Interlocal Agreement has <br />been made, and Mr. Greenfield apologized for the delay as they are a huge District with <br />many Interlocal Agreements, and there was some confusion as to whether the school would <br />budget for that annual payment, or if it would be the Board, and clearly it is an obligation of <br />the Board. It will be paid soon and it will now be established in the System, and in the future <br />it will be paid on a more timely basis. <br /> <br />[City Clerk's Note: Item 3A was heard after this item.} <br /> <br />4. RESOLUTIONS <br /> <br />4A. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Awarding <br />Bid No. 09-09-01 and Entering into an Agreement with Tenex Enterprises, Inc., for the <br />Median Closure at 175th Terrace on Collins Avenue and SR AlA/Collins Avenue at <br />183rd Street Streetscape Improvements Project, in an Amount Not to Exceed $487,634.00, <br />in Substantially the Same Form as Exhibit "A", Based on the Pricing, Terms, and Conditions <br />Listed in the Bid Response, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "B"; Authorizing the Mayor to <br />Execute Said Agreement; Authorizing the City Manager and City Attorney to Do All Things <br />Necessary to Effectuate the Terms of the Agreement; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: [City Clerk's Note: Correspondence from Calvin Giordano and Associates was <br />distributed prior to the meeting. This item was taken out of order and heard first.} City <br />Clerk Hines read the title, and City Manager Conner reported noting that there was only $27 <br />difference between the second and first lowest bidders after corrections to the calculations of <br />the lowest bidder were made, and are well below the original estimates. We should be able <br />to complete parts of the project for the stimulus funds that will be available. City Manager <br />Conner noted that Tenex have stayed on time with their other projects and within budget. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Brezin noted with the stimulus funds that we are getting from the Metro <br />Planning Organization, it is only costing our City approximately $31,000. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brezin moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to approve this <br />resolution, as revised. Resolution No. 2009-1495 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in <br />favor. <br /> <br />[City Clerk's Note: Item 3C was heard after this item.} <br /> <br />5.
