<br />ORDINANCE NO. 97- 6 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA <br />ADOPTING A GENERAL FUND OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGET <br />FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1997 AND <br />ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1998; AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF <br />FUNDS ESTABLISHED BY BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR ISSUANCE OF <br />CHECKS; PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENTS; PROVIDING FOR <br />ENCUMBRANCES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in lieu of the City Manager who has not yet been hired, the Mayor presented <br />to the City Commission a General fund Operating and Capital ,Budget for the Fiscal Year <br />commencing October 1, 1997 and ending September 30, 1998, pursuant to Section 302 of the City <br />Charter; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission has scheduled a public hearing, as required by Florida <br />Statutes, to be held on September 11, 1997; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Budiet AWroved and Adopted. That the General Fund Operating <br /> <br />and Capital Budget for the Fiscal year commencing October 1, 1997 and ending September 30, <br /> <br />1998, attached as Exhibit" A", is hereby adopted. <br /> <br />Section 20 EJ\pEmditure of Funds AwrQpriated in the Budiet Authorized. Funds <br /> <br />appropriated in the Budget may be expended by the City Commission in accordance with the <br /> <br />provisions of the City Charter and applicable law 0 Funds of the City shall be expended in <br /> <br />accordance with the appropriations provided in the Budget adopted by this Ordinance and shall <br /> <br />constitute an appropriation of the amounts specified thereino Supplemental appropriations or the <br /> <br />reduction of appropriations, if any, shall be made in accordance with the City Charter. <br /> <br />MIAMI:F:\DOCS\LMD\RE\65323.1 :216198 (2:25PM) <br />
