<br />ORDINANCE NO. 98-16 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE RULES OF PROCEDURE OF THE CITY <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, <br />REPEALING SECTION 2-1 OF ARTICLE I, CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF <br />METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN ITS ENTIRETY; AND <br />REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 97-2 OF THE CITY CHARTER OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH ADOPTING ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDER; <br />ENACTING NEW RULES OF PROCEDURE OF THE CITY COMMISSION; <br />PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE CODE, AND AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 16, 1997, by Charter of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, the <br /> <br />City adopted all codes and ordinances of City of Sunny Isles Beach, as may be amended by the City <br /> <br />from time to time; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to enact a set of parliamentary rules that will carry out the <br /> <br />spirit of the Citizens Bill of Rights contained in the City Charter and which will facilitate the <br /> <br />procedures of the City Commission; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Except as provided in Section 3 of this Ordinance, Section 2-1 of Chapter 2, Article <br /> <br />I of the Code of Metropolitan Dade County as adopted by Charter for the City of Sunny Isles Beach, <br /> <br />Florida, is hereby repealed in its entirety. <br /> <br />Section 2. Section 2-1 of Chapter 2, is hereby enacted to read as follows; <br />
