ORDINANCE NO. 98-30 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE GENERAL FUND OPERATING BUDGET AND CAPITAL BUDGET FOR. FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1997 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1998; AMENDING ORDINANCE 97-6 AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS ESTABLISHED BY THE BUDGET; PROVIDING FOR PROCEDURES FOR MINOR AMENDMENTS WITHIN THE BUDGET; PROVIDING AN ADDITION OF OPERATING DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 97-7; PROVIDING FOR ENCUMBRANCES; PROVIDING FOR ISSUANCE OF CHECKS AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on or about September 25, 1997, prior to the employment of a Manager, the Mayor presented to the City Commission a general fund operating and capital budget for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1998, pursuant to Section 3.2 of the City Charter which was adopted by the City Commission; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed and analyzed that budget and proposes an amendment to said budget; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The budget approved as amended and adopted that the general fund operating on capital budget and storm water utility budget for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1998, attached as Exhibit "A" is hereby amended and adopted and thereby Ordinance No. 97-6, is so amended. Section 2. Expenditure funds appropriated in the budget authorized. Funds appropriated in the budget may be expended by the City Commission in accordance with the provisions of the City Charter and applicable law. Funds of the City shall be expended in accordance with the appropriations provided in the budget, adopted by this Ordinance and shall constitute an appropriation of the amount specified therein. Supplemental appropriations or the reduction of appropriations, if any, shall be made in accordance with the City Charter and amendments may be Budget & Dept. Amendment Ordinance
