<br />Section 1-5. Due date for payment of Certificate of Use Fee. <br /> <br />(A) Certificates shall available for issuance by the City, commencing on August 1st of <br />each year. Both the renewal and renewal fee shall be due on October 1 st of each year. If October 1 st <br />falls on a weekend or holiday, the fee shall be due and payable on or before the first working day <br />following October 1st. Those certificates not renewed by October 1 st shall be considered delinquent <br />and subject to a delinquency penalty of ten percent (10%) for the month of October, plus an <br />additional five percent (5%) penalty for each month of delinquency thereafter until paid; provided, <br />that the total delinquency penalty shall not exceed 25% of the fee due. <br /> <br />(B) Any Person exercising the privilege of engaging in or managing any business without <br />first obtaining a certificate of use, if required under this article, shall be subject to a penalty of 25 % <br />of the fee determined to be due, in addition to any other penalty provided by law or ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 1-6 Fees. <br /> <br />Fees to charged for the purpose of administering this ordinance are hereby imposed as follows: <br /> <br />(A) The Building, Planning and Zoning Department shall collect an origination fee of <br />$80.00. No origination fee shall be charged for a Certificate of Use to any business within the City <br />limits that have a current and appropriate Certificate of Use from Miami-Dade County or the City, <br />but the annual renewal fee shall be charged accordingly. <br /> <br />(B) The Building, Planning and Zoning Department shall collect and annual renewal fee <br />of $25.00 for the renewal of existing certificates of use as issued herein. <br /> <br />(C) An application fee of $10.00 shall be assessed for the processing of a new application <br />for Certificate of Use. <br /> <br />Section 1-7. Application Procedures. <br /> <br />(A) Procedures for issuance. No Certificate of Use shall be issued or granted to any <br />person or location to engage in any business type use named, identified or encompassed by this <br />article unless an application is filed with the Director or his designee on forms provided for that <br />purpose, disclosing the following: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />The applicant's name and address. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />The name of the business for which a certificate is sought. <br /> <br />c. <br /> <br />The name and address of the owner and operator of the business and if <br />a corporation, the names and addresses of each of its corporate officers <br />and its resident or registered agent. <br /> <br />02000- Certificates of Use <br /> <br />4 <br />
