<br />government, the presiding officer may designate members of the Commission to represent the <br />Commission at such meetings, conferences or other occasions, with the consent of the designee. A <br />majority of the Commissioners then present may approve or disapprove any such appointment. Such <br />representatives shall have no power to act for or on behalf of the Commission, or to make any <br />commitment or binding obligation on behalf of the Commission or the City. Such representatives <br />shall report in writing to the Commission with regard to such meeting, conference or other occasion. <br /> <br />Rule 8.02. NONCOMPLIANCE WITH PROCEDURAL RULES. <br /> <br />If a procedural rule of this board is not complied with as a result of either mistake, inadvertence or <br />excusable neglect, as those terms are defined by law, by either the presiding officer or the <br />parliamentarian, then the validity of the underlying substantive ordinance resolution, motion or other <br />action shall in no way be affected thereby, and the failure of compliance with said procedural rule <br />shall not be the basis for any person or party to challenge any ordinance, resolution or other action of <br />this board. <br /> <br />Section 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or provision of this ordinance is held <br />invalid, the remainder of this ordinance shall not be affected by such invalidity. <br /> <br />Section 4. It is the intention of the City Commissioners, and it is hereby ordained that the <br />provisions of this ordinance, shall become and be made a part ofthe Code of the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach, Florida. The sections ofthis ordinance may be renumbered or re-Iettered to accomplish such <br />intention, and the word "ordinance" may be changed to "section," "article," or other appropriate <br />word. <br /> <br />Section 5.
